Scholarships

All three (3) scholarships offered for the 2024 Conference on Crimes Against Women have reached capacity.

After Applying

All important communications are sent via email to the lead applicant only. Please monitor your email closely after applying. It is the lead applicant’s responsibility to keep the co-applicant up–to–date on the status and forward them any emails. The lead applicant will receive a confirmation email after applying, and an email once the team is awarded or denied. 

If Your Team is Awarded

Nancy Ann Hunt and Texas Governor’s Office, CJD awardees have both registration and hotel costs covered by the scholarship. Both applicants will receive a custom discount code. The discount code is very important and required when registering. Both awardees must register themselves for the conference using the custom discount code.

Faith & Liberty Match awardees have both registration and hotel costs covered by the scholarship for the lead applicant only. Your agency must pay the registration and hotel costs for the co-applicant. The lead applicant will receive a custom discount code. The discount code is very important and is required when registering. The lead registrant must register themselves for the conference using the code. Only the lead applicant is allowed to use the discount code to register. The co-applicant (paying awardee) must register as any other registrant and pay the registration fee.

Lodging

More information about hotel booking instructions will be emailed to the lead applicant after the scholarship has been awarded. Please do not make any booking arrangements with the Conference hotel or a nearby hotel unless you are making those arrangements for a Faith & Liberty Match co-applicant (not funded by CCAW).

CCAW does not cover any travel expenses. We do not cover the cost of the Preconference add on, but it is available to be added on at your own expense during registration.

Nancy Ann Hunt Foundation Recipients

CCAW pays for conference registration and four nights at the hotel for both applicants (Sunday the 19th check in – Thursday the 23rd check out). CCAW books both applicants’ hotel rooms.

Texas Governor’s Office, CJD Recipients

CCAW pays for conference registration and four nights at the hotel for both applicants (Sunday the 19th check in – Thursday the 23rd check out). CCAW books both applicants’ hotel rooms.

Faith & Liberty Match Recipients 

CCAW pays for the lead applicant’s registration and hotel for four nights (Sunday the 19th check in – Thursday the 23rd check out). Your agency pays for the registration and cost of the hotel for the co-applicant. CCAW books and pays for the lead applicant’s hotel room. CCAW does not book the co-applicant’s hotel. The co-applicant must book and pay for their own room.

OVW Grantees Info

All programs:

OVW Grantees from the Tribal Governments, Tribal Special Assistant US Attorney, Performance, Assessment, Research and Evaluation program(s) do not have to submit a GAM or obtain permission from their program specialist.

OVW Grantees from the Culturally Specific Services, Transitional Housing, Sexual Assault Services Culturally Specific, Disability, Underserved, State Coalitions, STOP, Campus, Restorative Justice, Consolidated Youth, Engaging Men, and Rural program(s) are required to submit a GAM to get approval specific to their awards.

OVW Grantees from the Legal Assistance for Victims, Justice for Families, Tribal Sexual Assault Services, Tribal Coalitions, Tribal Jurisdiction, Abuse in Later Life, and Improving Criminal Justice Responses program(s) are required to contact their program specialist directly for approval.

Tribal programs:

Per Sherriann Moore, OVW Deputy Director for Tribal Affairs, Tribal Governments Program, Tribal Jurisdictions Program, Tribal Sexual Assault Services Program, and Tribal Coalitions Program grantees are authorized to support registration and travel costs for up to three (3) tribal leaders or tribal representatives to attend the 2024 Conference on Crimes Against Women, utilizing grant funds, without seeking additional specific authorization from their OVW grant managers through submission of a Grant Award Modification (GAM) in JustGrants. If a tribal grantee requests to cover costs for more than 3 tribal attendees, please contact your OVW Tribal Grant Management Specialist for approval. Grantees should ensure sufficient travel funds are available in their approved grant award budget to cover these costs, including funds available for other grantee required annual travel.  Grantees should keep a copy of this notice in their grant file for audit purposes.
