Curtis Howard

Plano Police Department

Curtis Howard has been the Senior Legal Advisor for the City of Plano Police Department since 2011. He is responsible for providing a wide range of legal advice on matters involving criminal law to the Department's officers, detectives, and executive team. He is involved in training the Department's personnel on issues such as search and seizure, officer liability, racial profiling, courtroom demeanor, and legal updates. After graduating from South Texas College of Law in Houston in 1997 with his Juris Doctor, he worked as an assistant district attorney for the Collin County Criminal District Attorney's Office. He spent fourteen years as a felony chief specializing in cases involving the sexual and physical abuse of children.
