Naida Henao

NVRDC

Naida Henao is the Strategic Advocacy Counsel at Network for Victim Recovery of DC (NVRDC) where she works collaboratively with staff and leadership to identify systemic barriers that impact NVRDC's clients' access to justice and create strategic solutions to streamline advocacy, legal, and communication efforts to combat these barriers. Naida's role includes providing brief advice to clients, supporting legal staff with complex motions practice, mentoring pro bono counsel who handle impact litigation efforts, and advising on legislative advocacy and policy initiatives. Formerly, Naida was a bilingual Staff Attorney with NVRDC and represented crime victims in criminal cases, civil protection orders, and Title IX proceedings. Before coming to NVRDC, Naida worked as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Timothy Lydon at Mercer County Superior Court's Criminal Part in Trenton, New Jersey.
