Noël Busch-Armendariz is the Associate Vice President for Research, the Director of the Institute on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, and a University Presidential Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin. She is a nationally recognized expert in domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking and testifies nationally as an expert witness. Dr. Busch-Armendariz has worked as an advocate, support group leader, and program director, and serves on the board of directors of Safe Alliance. In 1986, she began working with refugees and immigrants and served as principal investigator of the Green Leaf Project. She is the author of the first textbook in the United States on Human Trafficking, to be released Spring 2017.
